About the Kennel
Before I got involved with dogs as a competitive sport, I was committed and responsible for the care, training and exercise of approximately 30 horses.  I have worked with horses for 11 years, working with different disciplines (including English, Western and Thoroughbred racing) as well as teaching young children the skill of riding.  Although my true passion lies with dogs, I have been spotted going for a joy ride every now and then to enjoy the feeling of freedom you receive while atop a horse.

I discovered the dog world when I wanted to spend more time with my Bearded Collie X, Tess.  We became involved with agility, which we both loved and enjoyed, until Tess' old age wouldn't allow her to continue.  From there I decided therapy training might work for her, which eventually lead me to conformation(not with her of course!).  I have been involved in obedience, agility, conformation and therapy dog training with several dogs over the last 8 years(some activities longer than others), and enjoy all aspects of the world of dogs.
I was first introduced to the Samoyed breed as a young child.  A friend of the family's, Leslie Jocelyn, invited us out to her place in Winnipeg where she had six Samoyeds!  I had always been a dog lover, and always had dogs growing up, but never more than one at a time.  With six fluffy Samoyeds around me I was in bliss!  Throughout the weekend I spent as much time as I could with all the Sams, and fell in love with the breed.  I decided then that when I got older I would not only own a Samoyed, but I would show it in conformation and hopefully eventually breed it.
Over the next two years my family and I visited Leslie and her dogs, and everytime I visited them I grew more and more attached to these dogs.  So when later that year, we were forced to put my current dog to sleep, I knew I needed to get another dog.
After all my research and time I finally decided that the Samoyed was in fact the breed I was going to buy and have as my wonderful companion.  In the first part of 2002 I became in contact with Judi Elford.  Later that summer the litter that I was to get my puppy from was born, and I finally brought my puppy, Gemini, home.  I am living out my dream showing her(as well as some other dogs) and can't wait to breed her.  I hope to continue to enjoy this amazing breed for many years to come.
